You must be at least 16 years old to create a PuppyPal account. If you are under 18, you should use PuppyPal with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

You confirm that the information you provide when registering is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these terms.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

  • Use a valid email address you control
  • Keep your password private
  • Do not share or transfer your account
  • Tell us promptly about any unauthorised access

Every dog profile you create belongs to your account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you record, including breed, date of birth, weight, health notes and training progress.

PuppyPal uses this information to personalise plans, missions and insights. Inaccurate information will lead to less useful guidance.

The AI Coach, daily plans, missions and insights are generated automatically and are provided for general guidance and education only.

AI guidance is not a substitute for a qualified veterinarian, behaviourist or professional trainer. It may be incomplete or incorrect. Always use your own judgement and seek professional advice for anything serious, and stop any activity that appears to distress or harm your dog.

You are responsible for what you enter into the AI Coach and for how you use its outputs, including verifying accuracy before acting on it. You must not enter content you do not have the rights to, and you must not use the AI features to generate unlawful, harmful, abusive or deliberately misleading content, or to attempt to bypass safety limits.

Your prompts and relevant app context are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We may restrict, filter or refuse AI outputs, and may suspend access where the AI features are misused.

PuppyPal is a record-keeping and guidance tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any medical condition, and reminders are not a clinical service.

If your dog is unwell, injured or behaving unusually, contact a veterinary professional immediately rather than relying on the app.

Walk tracking uses your device's location services with your permission. You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings, though some walk features will then be unavailable.

Distance, duration and route data are estimates and depend on your device, signal quality and battery settings. Always stay aware of your surroundings and follow local laws about dogs in public spaces — never rely on the app while it is unsafe to do so.

PuppyPal offers a free plan and a paid subscription, PuppyPal Pro. The current price, billing frequency and any applicable taxes are always shown at checkout before you pay, and that is the price that applies to your purchase.

  • PuppyPal Pro is a recurring subscription billed monthly or yearly
  • It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel
  • Your payment method is charged automatically on each renewal date
  • We tell you the renewal date in the app under Subscription
  • Free plan limits apply again once a subscription ends

You can cancel at any time from the Subscription screen in the app, or through Paddle. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again after that. Cancelling is not the same as requesting a refund — see our Refund Policy.

You can switch between the monthly and yearly plans in the app. Switching takes effect immediately and the amount is prorated by our payment provider against the time remaining on your current period.

If a renewal payment fails, your subscription enters a past due state. We will attempt payment again for a limited period and prompt you to update your payment method. If payment still fails, the subscription is cancelled and Pro access is revoked.

We may change subscription prices for future billing periods. We will give you reasonable notice before a price change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

This means your purchase contract for the payment itself is with Paddle, and Paddle handles billing, payment methods, invoices, tax and refunds. We never see or store your full card details. Prices are shown in pounds sterling, and taxes such as VAT are calculated by Paddle at checkout based on your location.

Billing, invoice and refund enquiries can be raised with Paddle directly, or with us and we will help.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory rights as a consumer. If you are a UK or EU consumer, you have a legal right to change your mind about a digital purchase within 14 days.

Because PuppyPal Pro is digital content supplied immediately, you may be asked at checkout to agree to immediate access and acknowledge that this can affect your statutory cancellation right. Separately from that, we operate a 14-day refund window described in our Refund Policy, and Paddle handles refund requests.

Paddle Refund Policy

When using PuppyPal you agree not to:

  • Break any applicable law or animal welfare rule
  • Upload harmful, abusive or unlawful content
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse engineer, scrape or overload the service
  • Resell or redistribute PuppyPal content without permission
  • Misuse the AI Coach to generate harmful instructions

Where PuppyPal includes shared or community features, keep contributions kind, honest and relevant to dog care.

We may remove content or restrict access where it promotes cruelty, harassment, misinformation or unsafe training methods.

PuppyPal, its branding, design, training programmes and written content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app.

You keep ownership of the content you add, such as photos and notes, and grant us permission to store and process it so we can provide the service to you.

We aim to keep PuppyPal available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, third-party outages or connectivity issues may temporarily affect the service.

Features may be added, changed or removed as the product develops.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PuppyPal is provided on an 'as is' basis and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or decisions taken about your dog based on app content or AI guidance.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

You may stop using PuppyPal and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, put other users at risk, or are used unlawfully. Where possible we will tell you why.

We continue to improve PuppyPal, which means features, limits and plans may change over time. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will let you know in advance.

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the app, the law or our practices. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page always shows the current version.

Continuing to use PuppyPal after an update means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not affect the consumer rights you have where you live.
